St. Louis U. recruiter for terror?

Wiles and Presson [SLU students under scrutiny by the Israeli security service] were both recruited in a Social Justice Studies class by St. Louis University professor Mark Chmiel. Chmiel encourages his students as part of his courses to conduct what he calls “insertions” to aid Palestinian irredentists. (He also has a previous arrest record.)

Chmiel teaches Social Justice in the Theology Department and is a member the Center for Theology and Social Analysis. He is faculty moderator of the student group, SLU Solidarity with Palestine() and worked with the International Solidarity Movement in Israeli-occupied Gaza() and West Bank in the fall and winter of 2003. Those are solid leftist credentials.
